Paladins in WoW Classic have it easy. They can farm 200 gold an hour and do so almost completely naked – if they know what they’re doing.
In World of Warcraft Classic, there are many ways to earn gold. This is also necessary, for epic mounts or the high costs of repairs, potions, flasks, and many other small comforts like Black Lotus. But how do you farm the best? Do you need good gear for that? A paladin has now shown: No, you don’t. If you know what you’re doing, you can farm naked and earn several hundred gold per hour.
What is shown? The YouTuber tedj demonstrates in his latest video how “easy” it is to farm gold as a paladin in WoW Classic, namely in the instance Zul’Gurub. This is actually a raid for 20 players, but he goes solo and almost naked. He only wears rocket boots and trinkets.
He pulls many of the weaker mob groups – especially crocodiles and tigers, to drag them through half the raid. On a bridge, he “fights” the enemies and manages to defeat them in the course of about 10 minutes.
How does he do it? Tedj exploits the pathfinding of mobs in World of Warcraft. Depending on whether he is on the bridge or on the railing, the enemies choose a different path to reach him. By jumping, he makes the mobs constantly change their path. He regularly places the spell Consecration (and some bombs) to deal damage until all the enemies are defeated.
Is it easy? No. The jumps on the bridge must be extremely precise and require a lot of practice. A wrong step can lead to falling off the bridge or not making the jump accurately. Then the mobs reach the character and could lead to a very quick demise. It takes a lot of practice to deliver the whole thing as flawlessly as tedj.
How much gold does he earn with it? The loot he gets from the tigers and crocodiles adds up to a value of about 200 gold coins over the course of an hour. This is a large amount for WoW Classic, which often takes several days to achieve through normal means.
