Sometimes, sheer luck is also part of WoW Classic. This player demonstrates with a chance of 1 in 1000 how cool trinkets can be.
In World of Warcraft Classic, there are many special items that can occasionally be a bit too powerful. Especially those that can only be triggered with a certain chance have a devastating effect when they proc multiple times in a row. Just such a stroke of luck was experienced by Reddit user Idkmybffmoo. He had the fortune in Alterac Valley not only to be resurrected once but three times in a row, and that in the middle of a fight. He keeps getting up after dying without first being revived by another player or at the graveyard.
What kind of item does that? The item that allows for multiple resurrections is the Darkmoon Card: Twisting Nether. It is a trinket that has only one effect when equipped: There is a 10% chance that the wearer can be resurrected upon death with 20% health and mana. The trinket has no internal cooldown – the 10% chance can therefore be triggered infinitely often in a row with enough luck.
Chance of 1 in 1000 strikes: Idkmybffmoo had absurdly high luck in that situation and could use the resurrection three times in a row, likely leaving some enemies quite confused. The chance of the resurrection being triggered three times in a row is very small – it happens in about one in a thousand cases.
How can you obtain the item? Anyone who wants to have the Darkmoon Card: Twisting Nether must prepare for a long grind and collect all 8 portal cards. These drop in the open world and from certain dungeon bosses but can also be bought and sold via the auction house. Those who collect the entire set can exchange them at the Darkmoon Faire and receive the trinket. But keep in mind that the exchange is only possible from the first Sunday of the month until the following Saturday, as the faire is only active in Elwynn or Mulgore during that time.
Have you ever had such luck with this trinket? Or do you think it’s too strong?
