In World of Warcraft Classic there are still a number of bugs. One is so severe that priests currently have a huge advantage in PvP.
World of Warcraft Classic has been live for just over 3 weeks and many players are already at level 60. Although there are no PvP rewards yet, especially the PvP servers are full and invite constant skirmishes and battles between the two factions. Resourceful players have now discovered a bug that gives priests an unfair advantage: Certain attacks simply do no damage to them.
Fishing is also currently problematic in WoW Classic …
What kind of error is this? The bug apparently affects the spell “Power Word: Shield,” which allows priests to create a temporary shield that absorbs some damage points. However, there is currently a drastic error, as the shield takes no damage from critical melee attacks!
In this video, you can see a warrior mercilessly beating on a priest’s shield – to no avail:
This can be especially well proven when a warrior uses Recklessness. As a result, almost all of the warrior’s attacks become critical hits, making the issue particularly evident.
Other types of damage are not affected by this. Critical spell hits or ranged attacks deal the usual damage. Only critical melee attacks lead to an endless “absorb” that simply cannot destroy the priest’s shield.
Are priests now unstoppable? Of course, priests are not “invincible” in PvP because of this, but the bug is quite serious. Rogues and warriors rely heavily on critical hits in melee, which puts these classes at a significant disadvantage when they face a priest.

What is Blizzard doing? So far, there has been no statement from Blizzard on this. However, it is to be expected that the developers will place such a serious bug high on their priority list and will take action against it with appropriate speed.
Have you noticed this bug too? Or have you not experienced this with your priest yet?
