The final test of World of Warcraft Classic is coming soon. In a few days, interested gamers will be able to experience the vanilla version.
The beta of World of Warcraft Classic has ended a few weeks ago and there are still almost 4 weeks until the release. If you do not want to wait that long for your dose of WoW Classic, you can already play next week. The final launch test is taking place then, which will put the server structure to one last test.
When will the test take place? The test begins on August 8 at 11:00 AM PDT. For the German time zone, this corresponds to 8:00 PM on August 8. The test is expected to last until the next day, with Blizzard asking players to be especially active during the first two hours, as they want to fully test the server load during this time.
The maximum level during the test is level 15, so you can easily get to Westfall, the Barrens, or any other “second areas” of the respective races. For those who were not in the beta, this is a good way to get an impression of the gameplay.
WoW Classic is actually coming with German servers that you have fought hard for.
What are the requirements? To participate in the test, you only need to have an active WoW subscription. You can then download WoW: Classic from the launcher and participate. Simply select WoW in the menu and set “Version” at the bottom to World of Warcraft Classic and start the download.
World of Warcraft Classic will take up “only” about 5 GB of hard drive space. If you want to play during the test, you should start the download on time anyway.
