Patch 1.13.5 of World of Warcraft Classic is live – but many contents are still missing. We will tell you what comes when and which updates are already effective.
Anyone who wants to start World of Warcraft Classic today must first download a patch. The update 1.13.5 is now live and needs to be installed. However, not all content of this patch is immediately available, but will be unlocked in the coming weeks. Many balance changes and bug fixes are already active immediately.
Alterac Valley becomes fair, exploits have been fixed
This is available as of today: Already with the installation (so from now on) the following improvements to Alterac Valley are live:
- The Alliance now always gains reputation and honor when they defeat Galvangar – regardless of whether Balinda is still alive.
- Alliance Druids can no longer be interrupted while casting by being spoken to.
Additionally, some paths have been blocked that can no longer be used. These are passages that allowed players to shortcut or completely bypass certain bottlenecks:
- The waterfall to the Frostwolf base can no longer be climbed.
- Players can no longer climb the cliffs to enter Dun Baldar.
- The Icewing Bunker can no longer be bypassed.
This is intended to prevent players from using paths that were never intended.
Furthermore, several major exploits have been fixed:
- The War Masters of the Horde can no longer be pulled far enough away to allow one to fight Drek’thar alone.
- Vandar Stormpike can no longer be pulled out of the bunker by a trick.
More bag slots for secure accounts: Also from now on, 4 additional inventory slots are available if your Battle.net account is protected with an authenticator. This increases security and adds another barrier against hackers and fraudsters.
The 4 inventory slots will be added to the “Standard” backpack.
Last but not least, there are some bug fixes and improvements for addon creators. In raids and dungeons, the range of the combat log is increased again, allowing addons to read and match data more easily.
T-0.5 set, magic oils and more are coming
What is coming later? In addition to the above bug fixes and improvements, there are also a whole host of contents that will only be unlocked in the coming weeks. This primarily concerns the quest line and the event surrounding Ahn’Qiraj. The quest to open it and the factions’ gathering efforts will begin on July 29 after maintenance.
But several other details will change starting on July 29:
- The Dungeon 2 set (referred to as “Tier 0.5”) is available through a quest line.
- Magic and mana oils are available.
- Nexus crystals can be obtained from epic items.
- The loot table of many dungeons has been adjusted. There are many new caster items and the drop chance for epic items from dungeons has been increased.
- Some relics are now available.
The reputation vendors for the Warsong Gulch, Alterac Valley, the Thorium Brotherhood, and the Woodschlund Keep have new rewards on offer.
Are you looking forward to Ahn’Qiraj? What do you think of the improvements in Alterac Valley?
