New realms are now available for World of Warcraft Classic. Additionally, you can soon reserve up to 50 names.
Only a few days left until the release of World of Warcraft Classic. For quite some time, players have been able to reserve their character names on their preferred servers to ensure they get their desired name. But soon, not only will the number of available realms increase, but also the number of names that a player can reserve. We have all the details for you.
9 new realms in WoW Classic: Blizzard announced last night that 9 new realms are set to open. Apparently, the demand is so great that the influx of players cannot be managed otherwise. 4 of the new realms are for the American region, while the other 5 are available for us Europeans.
The European realms are:
| Name | Server Type |
| Flamelash | PvP |
| Gandling | PvP |
| Mograine | PvP |
| Nethergarde Keep | Normal |
| Razorgore | PvP |
The American realms, on the other hand, are:
| Name | Server Type |
| Incendius | PvP |
| Bigglesworth | PvP |
| Old Blanchy | Normal |
| Westfall | Normal |
All new realms will go online on August 26 at 7:00 PM German time. So just a few hours before the release of WoW Classic.
Reserve up to 50 names: At the same time as the opening of new realms, Blizzard will also lift the limitation on character creations – and thus name reservations. Starting August 26 at 7:00 PM, it will be possible to create a total of 50 characters in WoW Classic, but a maximum of 10 per realm. If you want to secure your favorite names on all realms, you can do so at that time.
The limit of 50 characters also corresponds to the maximum number of characters you can create on your account. This limit is not linked to your normal WoW Retail account. So you can have 50 characters in WoW Classic and 50 more in “normal” WoW.

Will there be more German realms? At this time, it does not look like it. This is also because, of the 4 German realms, only 2 have reached the status of “full” (Lucifron & Everlook). The other two realms (Razorfen & Venoxis) are currently only “medium” loaded. This could, of course, change at launch. Blizzard has already announced that they can activate new realms quickly if the demand increases even more.
Blizzard warns against going on the full realms – they are even too crowded for the queue!
Will you secure 50 names before the release? Do you think the realms are sufficient now? Or are more servers needed for WoW Classic?
