On this PvP realm in WoW Classic, things aren’t fair. The Horde has conquered everything – even Ironforge is in the clutches of the Orcs and Tauren.
In World of Warcraft Classic, the last few weeks have seen a golden age of open-world PvP. On the PvP realms, Horde and Alliance players were busy beating each other up all over the game world – for honor or just for fun. This even led to “kill squads” and entire farm raids targeting individual players.
However, this has also resulted in some servers being thrown into massive imbalance. A prime example here is EU server “Flamelash”. This is a PvP realm where there was also plenty of PvP – unfortunately with an unbalanced power dynamic.
What was happening on Flamelash? Although there are no exact numbers, it is believed that Flamelash had a distribution of 60:40 between Horde and Alliance – the Horde was therefore significantly in the majority. In PvP, this led to the Horde organizing in large masses and besieging all Alliance nodes. Flight masters in all endgame areas were besieged and ultimately even Ironforge was overrun to squeeze the last bit of honor from the dead bodies of the Alliance.
Alliance players fled the realm: The consequence was that Alliance players seized the opportunity and left the realm. Character transfers were still possible. Numerous Alliance guilds switched en masse, resulting in the Horde’s dominance only increasing.
What it currently looks like there is shown by the “visit” of the YouTuber LonelyWalks on the realm:
What’s now with Flamelash? Anyone logging into Flamelash now and trying to run around in Ironforge as an Alliance player should brace themselves for a red surprise. At almost any time, dozens of Horde players are in Ironforge, just waiting for players to log in and be mowed down.
Most Alliance areas are ghost towns. During peak times, usually in the early evening, there are often less than 40 level 60 Alliance players active. And this despite the realm having a “high” population.
Currently, it is estimated that the distribution is 95:5 – if not even worse.
They might need more mages like this one, who single-handedly defeats three rogues…
The topic is also generating many memes on Reddit, like this one:
“Me and my friend are wondering why no Alliance players are logging in”:

What happens next? How things will progress with Flamelash is still uncertain. Now that battlegrounds are being introduced, it is at least conceivable that the imbalance may settle a bit. Because battlegrounds are the best way to farm honor. It becomes hardly worthwhile to bother the other faction on a large scale.
However, the current state of Flamelash (and some other realms to a similar extent) is devastating. The power imbalance is likely to significantly spoil the fun for both sides on these realms.
Have you seen the players who sacrificed a Tauren to their king so he could get a steak again?
