In a few days, players will face a momentous decision for their characters. Should the character move on with the rest of the realm into the age of Burning Crusade? Or will the character move to a new realm that will forever remain in the “Classic Era”? We want to find out.
What is it about? In WoW Classic, the Pre-Patch for Burning Crusade Classic is coming in a few days. It upgrades all active realms and prepares for the journey into the shattered world. Those who want can also start leveling Draenei and Blood Elves to travel through the Dark Portal together with friends right on release day.
Alternative – eternal Classic realm: For those who are not interested in that, they can also move their character to a realm of the Classic Era and leave their old realm. On such a realm, time is basically frozen and it never goes beyond level 60, the Dark Portal remains closed.
Each player can freely choose how this whole process should go for each character. So you can take all your characters with you to Burning Crusade, just a handful, or not at all. The only problem is if you want to play the same character in both Classic and BC Classic. Because then you have to pay a lot of money.
You can play both, but it costs: If you can’t decide whether to play WoW Classic or BC Classic, you’ll have to dig deeper into your wallet. Because it is possible to clone individual characters for a proud price of 35 $ (probably 30 – 35 €). Then the same character exists on both the realm of WoW Classic and the BC realm. Both characters can then be played independently of each other. The costs have caused massive discussions and a lot of criticism of Blizzard.
