Blizzard is closing server transfers in WoW Classic. Soon you will no longer be able to switch realms for free, so you should hurry. You have until December 6 to make the switch.
Since the release of WoW Classic, there have continuously been queues on some servers. Therefore, Blizzard has offered free character transfers to low-population servers in recent months. This allowed you to escape the queues. Now, this service from Blizzard is ending.
Last Chance for Free Character Transfers
How long will there still be free server transfers? On Friday, December 6 at 1 AM CET (in the night from Thursday to Friday), free character transfers in all regions for WoW Classic will be suspended. Community Manager Kaivax has now announced this in the official forum.
What does this mean for me? If you are still playing on a full or unbalanced server and want to change, you only have a few hours left. So you should hurry.
After that, there will likely be paid server transfers at an unknown time. The developers had already hinted at this on Reddit before the release.
In terms of price, the transfers are expected to be around 20 Euros per character. Therefore, now is still a good time to change without having to dig too deep into your pockets.

Which transfers are still possible? Until the character transfer closes, you can still make the following switches.
| Origin Server | Destination Server |
| Dragon’s Call (PvP) | Heartstriker (PvP) |
| Lucifron (PvP) | Heartstriker (PvP) |
| Patchwerk (PvP) | Heartstriker (PvP) |
| Venoxis (PvP) | Heartstriker (PvP) |
This is how players are reacting to the server transfers
Several guilds apparently want to leave Lucifron: The player Fedan wrote in the official forum (via blizzard-forum) that “10-20 Horde guilds (the number varies) want to transfer to Heartstriker tomorrow”.
Whether it will be that many is currently unclear. At least there seems to have been a discussion among Horde guilds, as the player Nid confirms (via blizzard-forum), whose guild will stay on Lucifron. He assumes that the lion’s share of the guilds from the discussion will remain on the server. His reason is the too narrow time frame to take everyone with them.
The player Lilabart, on the other hand, considers the closure of free server transfers to be a mistake (via blizzard-forum). He is therefore asking Blizzard directly in the official forum:
Why don’t you allow the Horde to continue transferring to Heartstriker?
The background to the question is that there are more Alliance players than Horde players on Heartstriker. The server once had a reasonably balanced ratio, but due to the Open World PvP of WoW Classic Phase 2 and the Horde’s dominance on Lucifron, many Alliance players have switched.
Streamer Asmongold is currently facing completely different problems than the right server.
