In WoW Classic, Blizzard has heeded the call of the fans. After German players have complained for weeks that the German-speaking servers are too crowded, WoW Classic will now launch with 4 German servers instead of two. The new servers are called Razorfen and Venoxis, and name reservation begins there on Tuesday evening.
These are the 4 German servers for WoW Classic: Until now, two German-speaking servers for WoW Classic were planned:
- Everlook, a normal server, so PvE
- Lucifron, a PvP server
Now, two new ones have been added:
- Razorfen is the new PvE server
- Venoxis is the new PvP server
When can I grab my name? The name reservation for WoW Classic on Razorfen and Venoxis starts on August 20th at 8:00 PM.

Blizzard asks players to consider switching
This is what Blizzard says: They say the new servers are coming because they expect long queues upon the release of WoW Classic. The German servers for WoW Classic are full.
Blizzard is now advising players from Everlook and Lucifron to consider switching. They want the player population to be as evenly distributed as possible. This is the foundation for the best gaming experience.

Additionally, it is mentioned:
- they are cautious about opening new realms because the server structure is intended to be active for months and years
- the realms are much larger in 2019 than in 2006 – therefore, designations such as “low, medium, high, or full” refer to much larger player numbers than in 2006
Essentially, the German community manager says the same thing as a US community manager on Friday. He warned that 10,000 players would be queued in front of a full US server and advised players to switch to a new one.
German role players would like their own server
How do players react? The initial reactions are positive. However, role players still feel excluded. None of the new servers are marked for role play.
Especially for role players in WoW Classic, it is important to immerse themselves in role play in their native language.
