A new cinematic for World of Warcraft has been released. It showcases the start of the new patch 8.2, which is now live.
For a few hours now, the latest update of World of Warcraft is live. This allows players to explore the new areas of Mechagon and Nazjatar and also finally unlock flying.
As usual, a patch also includes exciting cinematics that push the game’s story forward. Players will see the first one right at the beginning.
When does the cinematic take place? The cutscene can be seen during the introductory questline that leads players to Nazjatar. It thus marks the start of the new area and explains how the Alliance and Horde ended up in Nazjatar.
What can be seen? The cinematic shows the remaining ships of the Horde sailing out to sea. Nathanos Blightcaller is being led by the blade of Xal’atath. The Alliance is pursuing the Horde ships to eliminate the threat once and for all.
Then the scene shifts to Queen Azshara, who is having a conversation with her servant beneath the sea. She asks her servant to activate the Tide Stone and thereby push the sea aside, causing all ships of the Horde and Alliance to plunge into the depths.
Her trap snaps shut and both the Horde and the Alliance are trapped in the depths of Nazjatar and at the mercy of Queen Azshara.
Interestingly, shadowy tentacles can be seen, with which Azshara is conversing. This is likely N’Zoth, who is still lurking in his prison, waiting to finally break free. Azshara mocks him a bit but is looking forward to finally showing him what power she possesses. N’Zoth and Azshara have had a pact for several thousand years, which was revealed in this dark cinematic.
What do you think of this cinematic? What do you think of the current progression of the story in WoW?
