To celebrate its 14th anniversary, World of Warcraft is unleashing many world bosses. There’s also a new toy!
Currently, there is a small “holiday event” taking place in World of Warcraft, as World of Warcraft celebrates its 14th birthday. From November 16 to November 29, lasting almost two weeks, there are several bonuses and unique opportunities to get cool transmog gear. This should bridge the time until the release of Patch 8.1 Tides of Vengeance …
XP and Reputation Bonus: Anyone logging into World of Warcraft should first head to a mailbox. There awaits a package from the developers, enticing with a fancy buff. During the event, the character receives 14% additional XP – but also 14% additional reputation! Those looking to unlock Allied Races should take advantage of these two weeks, as the buff even exceeds that of the Darkmoon Faire.
New Toy: New in 2018 is the toy Overly Adjusted Corgi Goggles for 200 Time-Warped Badges. The goggles have a cooldown of 10 minutes and ensure for 30 minutes that all players and NPCs look like cute little corgi dogs! Otherwise, the rewards are identical to those of the previous year.
The Nightmare Dragons and Kazzak: Just like last year, a handful of old world bosses that were relevant to Classic will spawn during the celebrations. These bosses can not only drop solid loot with item level 355, but they also have some very special items that can be used for transmog. Some of these models have not been available since Classic, so all transmog fans can now complete their collection.
Where to find the rewards? You can find the quests and vendors for the birthday rewards either in the castle of Stormwind (Alliance) or in the Valley of Spirits of Orgrimmar (Horde). There you’ll find not only a vendor but also a daily trivia question that rewards Time-Warped Badges, as well as a quest for killing the old world bosses.
Keep in mind that you only have two weeks to grab all these activities. The next opportunity will not come until next year.
