In World of Warcraft, the game’s birthday is celebrated. As in every year, there are some great gifts that you can pick up.
Even though the other activities in WoW are currently largely overshadowed by the new raid Amirdrassil, Hope of Dreams, an event in Blizzard’s MMORPG has started. Because WoW officially celebrates its 19th birthday and, in good old tradition, there is a series of gifts and rewards that you can secure now. Many of these are already known from previous years, but a really nice mount and a new battle pet are waiting for collectors.
What rewards are there? The two new rewards can be obtained in different ways. You receive the first one directly when you simply open the mail in your mailbox. In the birthday package, you can get the pet “Little Frostwing.” You can use the little dragon as a battle pet, so even pet battlers can benefit from it.
If you want the mount “Azure World Cooler,” you have to be a little more active. Travel to Tanaris (preferably at level 70) and fight against the boss “Doomwalker.” You can defeat this once a week for a chance at the mount and other loot. However, note that you can check in with multiple characters if you are not lucky the first time.
Reputation Buff for faster grinding: For those who place great value on efficiency, the legendary “Birthday Buff” is particularly valuable. Because in the mailbox, after logging in, you will find not only the new pet but also a usable buff. The “WoW 19th Anniversary” buff increases all received experience points and reputation gains by 19% – this also applies to the new faction “Dream Wardens”! Anyone who wants to climb the glory levels quickly should take advantage of the three weeks of the buff.
The buff is also great for leveling up some twinks or maximizing old reputation factions that have been avoided.
What else is there? Most rewards and events from previous years are also back. A big party is taking place in the Caverns of Time, where you can participate in story quizzes or watch old cutscenes from 19 years of WoW. In addition, there are several vendors with special transformation items to turn other group members into Murlocs, Gnolls, or Porcupines.
Until when do you have time? The event for WoW’s 19th birthday lasts until the morning of December 7. Until then, you have time to secure the various rewards and fully enjoy the XP and reputation bonus.
In the future, WoW will take special paths: Dungeons can then be done solo because you play with NPCs.
