World of Warcraft is celebrating its birthday. You need to hurry if you want to attack a unique mount. We will tell you how to do it.
In World of Warcraft, the birthday of the game is being celebrated once again. The festivities in Blizzard’s MMORPG have started today. As usual, there are some highlights, such as bosses from the past, a big XP boost, and even a fancy mount.
What kind of event is this? The birthday of World of Warcraft has always been an in-game event that was drastically revised a few years ago. Players who log in will receive a celebration package by mail, which contains some time-twisted badges, fireworks, and a holiday package.
What’s new? New is the Doomwalker, who is roaming in Tanaris during the event. This is an old world boss that existed back during the times of “The Burning Crusade”. Now he seems to have lost his way a bit and is stomping through the desert of Kalimdor. Particularly cool is the possible loot that you can find there:
- Akama’s Edge – A one-handed axe that visually corresponds to Akama’s weapons
- Doomwalker trophy base – A new toy for your collection
- Doomhawk of the Illidari – A new mount, a rather dark dragonhawk
Especially the mount is likely to be of great interest to collectors. Although the mount does not visually match the latest standards, it is merely a recoloring of the old model from Burning Crusade – but it is still unique.
How long does the event last? The WoW birthday lasts from November 15, 2021, to December 5, 2021. You have exactly three weeks to earn all the rewards and benefit from the XP bonus and other advantages.
XP boost speeds up leveling: Particularly worthwhile during these 3 weeks is leveling a new character. Every character that logs in during the event will receive mail with a special package. An item within it can be used to increase the experience points earned for one hour by 17%. The item has no cooldown and unlimited charges, but it will disappear at the end of the event.
Combining this 17% with other bonuses, such as the War Mode or the XP bonus potions from Battle for Azeroth, allows you to reach the maximum level of 60 at lightning speed. This way, you also save money on an expensive €60 character boost.
What else is there? Besides that, the event holds most of the major and minor content that has been available in previous years. These are:
- A new mechanical dragon pet
- Transmog options, like a bronze-colored glasses
- Wands for transforming into gnolls, murlocs, and more
- Costumes to appear as VanCleef or Yeti
Other than that, you can take on daily quests to defeat the nightmare dragons that are scattered across Azeroth at the dream portals. They even drop loot that is no longer available in the game.
For collectors, the event is a great opportunity – as well as for those who want to level a few characters to have all classes at maximum levels or simply bring some variety to their WoW routine.
