The WoW city of Thunder Bluff looks so good in the Unreal Engine that you might mistake it for a real place. You should see for yourself.
Now and then, we report that some fans of World of Warcraft are recreating the world of Azeroth in other areas. The aim is to implement various locations in the Unreal Engine. However, hardly any of these projects are as convincing as the one by Aleksandr Timoshenko.
What has he built? On reddit , some pictures of Aleksandr Timoshenko’s project were posted. He attempted to replicate Thunder Bluff, the capital of the Tauren in World of Warcraft, as accurately as possible. You can see how convincing the result is in these pictures.
Especially in direct comparison with the images from World of Warcraft, it can be seen how painstakingly detailed the work was and how fantastic it actually looks.
This is how players react: In the WoW subreddit, players are excited and praise not only the many details but also the high degree of realism. Several players explain that these images could easily serve as a basis for a live-action film adaptation of Warcraft.
However, there is also some criticism. A few voices say that Thunder Bluff could use a bit more color to truly represent how it appears in WoW. The images seem a bit “desaturated” and thus miss the rather warm style of Thunder Bluff somewhat.
Long tradition of projects: Already numerous fans have tried to recreate different parts of Azeroth in other games or applications. You can find some of the coolest implementations here:

Even though the style and quality of these projects vary, they all share a great passion for the WoW world and are extremely impressive.
