As part of the reveal of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, the next expansion for WoW Classic was also announced. We at MeinMMO will reveal what is known so far.
There is no official release date yet, but the new expansion is expected to be released in 2022.
You can discover the areas of Northrend, level your character to 80, play the Death Knight class, and of course visit dungeons and raids. The highlight will be the battle against Arthas.
In the Classic version, all content of the popular expansion will be included, with two exceptions: In PvP, there will now be individual ratings for arenas, and the dungeon finder will be completely removed.
You only need a subscription for WoW. This also includes WoW Classic, WoW Burning Crusade Classic, and the current WoW except for the latest expansion.
Yes, just like with Burning Crusade Classic, there will be a boost for real money. This will catapult a character directly to level 70.
Dungeon Finder is for Retail Fans
Why was a dungeon finder rejected? The dungeon finder is probably the most controversial change that Wrath of the Lich King brought at the time. Some even see it as the biggest mistake of WoW.
But in 2022, this will not be repeated with WOTLK Classic. The remake will do without such a tool. In the announcement stream, it was said in essence: The dungeon finder does not fit the Classic community, and those who want to use it can play the current WoW: Shadowlands.
What do you think about the changes to WOTLK Classic? Are you glad that they removed the dungeon finder? Or does the feature belong to this expansion for you?
