The next step for World of Warcraft Classic is known. The expansion “Mists of Pandaria” will be re-released.
Not only the modern World of Warcraft is constantly being supplied with new content, but also the Classic fans can look forward to always new (old) adventures. After Cataclysm Classic has been out for a while, the next stop on the schedule was announced during the Warcraft Direct stream. Even if no one is really surprised by this, it is now official:
Mists of Pandaria Classic is coming.
When will Mists of Pandaria Classic be released? A specific date for the release of the Classic expansion is not yet available – however, there is a rough target date. Mists of Pandaria is set to launch in “Summer 2025”. That would be in about 9 months. This gives enough time to enjoy the remaining content phases of Cataclysm Classic and to prepare to travel to Pandaria once again.
What makes Mists of Pandaria so special? Mists of Pandaria is considered one of the more controversial expansions – at least back when the addon was released. Many could not relate to the “Pandas” at first, and the Asian look turned some off.
In hindsight, Mists of Pandaria turned out to be one of the more popular expansions. The setting was appreciated, the story was surprisingly dark, and the overhaul of the talent system was initially well-received, even though the system was repeatedly changed in essence in the expansions that followed.
The raids have also been fondly remembered, especially the Siege of Orgrimmar – with the small addition that the content was a bit too active for a long time.
Those who have not yet had the opportunity to play Mists of Pandaria as it was originally intended can now look forward to trying it out themselves in mid-2025, how to cause chaos in the world as a monk.
