Legendary items for twinks in World of Warcraft will soon be much easier to craft. Because you can farm much more soul ash than before.
Torghast has evolved, also accompanied by the long content drought, from one of the main features of WoW: Shadowlands to a nuisance for many players. The long farming of soul ash repeatedly does not please everyone. Blizzard is now trying to address the issue and has planned some changes for Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination. Basically, most restrictions on soul ash will be lifted.
What is the problem? While some players do enjoy Torghast, the Tower of the Damned is also wearing thin for many frequent players. Especially since you have to enter the tower again and again for each character to gather enough soul ash for crafting legendary items. However, with Patch 9.1, this will likely become significantly easier, as the latest update on the PTR shows.
What will change? The maximum soul ash you can obtain from Torghast in each corridor will be increased by 50%. Instead of the usual 570 soul ash for completing level 8, you would get a whopping 855 soul ash.
Additionally, there will likely be another change: you are no longer restricted to completing a specific corridor only once per week. Instead, you can revisit the same corridor over and over again and earn soul ash with each visit. However, only the first successful completion will grant the full amount; afterwards, you will receive only a partial amount. How big exactly that will be remains to be seen.
What does this mean? In plain English, this means that with Patch 9.1, you can more or less craft a legendary item “immediately” for every character at level 60. You don’t have to wait several weeks, but can visit Torghast as often as you like until you have the required soul ash.
Farming soul ash will also be simplified, as you can send excess soul ash from your other characters to a twink. So, anyone who wants can simply power through Torghast repeatedly with their top-equipped character and then send the ash to a second character who would never have managed it alone.
Please note that this information is still from the PTR. A lot could change before the release of Patch 9.1.
How do you like this adjustment? A good change to make Torghast more pleasant? Or just a drop in the bucket, as the streamer Asmongold often criticizes?
