WoW: Blizzard makes these three classes even stronger with hotfix

A small hotfix ensures that three classes in WoW: Shadowlands now deal even more damage. We will tell you what Blizzard is changing.

With the latest mini-update for WoW: Shadowlands, some classes received a small damage boost. In particular, values were adjusted that were previously corrected by bug fixes and now resulted in reduced damage. Three classes are affected by the improvements.

Which classes are being improved? A total of 4 DPS specializations from 3 classes have been slightly improved. The beneficiaries include:

• Hunter (Beast Mastery and Marksmanship)
• Monks (Windwalker)
• Warlocks (Demonology)

What exactly has changed? Basically, there are only small improvements to individual abilities, which will collectively mean a few more DPS. Only Warlocks receive a direct buff across the board.

  • Beast Mastery
    • Bestial Wrath hits secondary targets now for 90% of the pet’s damage (previously 75%).
  • Marksmanship
    • Chimera Shot now deals 5% additional damage, and Aimed Shot ensures that Chimera Shot or Rapid Fire skip for 55% of the damage (previously 50%).

• Monk
  • Windwalker
    • Spinning Crane Kick deals 15% more damage (previously 10%) per unique target you hit with Tiger Palm, Blackout Kick, or Rising Sun Kick in the last 20 seconds (previously 15 seconds).
    • Fixed a bug where Spinning Crane Kick did not benefit from Mastery.
    • Fists of Fury now deals 70% of the damage to secondary targets (previously 50%).

• Warlock
  • Demonology
    • Spell damage and pet damage have been increased by 3%.

When will it go live? The hotfix is already live as you read this. The update was applied overnight with a short restart of the realms and has been active since then.

Why was this buff given? Basically, the buffs to Hunter and Monk are not meant to create new damage highs, but simply to reverse a previous damage reduction. In patch 9.0.5, several bugs were fixed that caused Monks and Hunters to deal more damage than intended. As it turned out, the classes were a bit too weak without these bugs. This hotfix is meant to ensure that the three classes are back to a similar level as before.
