In the Dungeon Waycrest Manor of World of Warcraft there is a musical secret. It has just been revealed.
World of Warcraft is full of many small and larger secrets. Besides particularly challenging puzzles like the Timegolding or the creepy pet B’aal, the developers have also integrated smaller Easter eggs and secrets. One of them can be found in Waycrest Manor – a macabre concert.
What is the secret? If you defeat five specific witches in Waycrest Manor and return to the entrance hall after completing the dungeon (that is, after the last boss), you have to wait a few minutes. After some time, the organs start playing familiar tracks from other Blizzard games – of course in a creepy organ version.

- World of Warcraft – A Call to Arms
- Warcraft II – Orc Battle Theme
- Heroes of the Storm – The Battle Begins
How to find the witches? The witches are not visible at the beginning and hide in various parts of the manor – in the rooms and corridors. They appear when you approach cursed organs that can be found throughout the manor. The corresponding organs have the typical “blue-black glow” of Drustvar witch magic. If you defeat one of the witches, a loud organ noise occurs (as if you were pressing all the keys at once) – the signal that this organ is now “freed”.
To find all the organs, you also need to defeat trash mobs that you would probably have left standing in a regular run.
So far, the secret has only been revealed in the mythic mode of Waycrest Manor. Whether it can also be found in the normal and heroic modes remains to be seen.
Blizzard had to help: The crucial hint for the puzzle was given this time by Blizzard during a panel at BlizzCon. When it came to the music and sound effects of World of Warcraft, the developers explained that there was still “a hidden thing” related to the organs. Less than a day later, the puzzle was solved.
