Legendary items without effort? The current Blingtron in World of Warcraft makes it possible.
The friendliest robot in Azeroth is probably Blingtron. For many expansions, he has delighted players with a daily quest that offers a gift package. Most of the time, you receive a lot of junk from the robot that can be sold, along with some crafting materials and occasionally some small fun items with little use.
Patch 7.1.5 has significantly upgraded the current Blingtron version – the Blingtron 6000!
Some players report on Reddit that they have received legendary items from the “Blingtron 6000 gift package”. The player Lutradamus has published a screenshot showing how he pulls the Hood of Eternal Contempt from the reward chest.
So if you have an engineer on your friends list, make sure to bug him every day, so he sets up the little party robot and gives you an additional chance at an orange item.
In addition to legendary items, Blingtron’s reward chest can contain many other items. Sometimes, there are even real treasures, such as rare battle pets or complete mounts, like the engineers’ rockets or different motorcycles.
Did the developers of World of Warcraft perhaps take some inspiration from Hearthstone here? Because in Hearthstone, Blingtron distributes weapons to both players when played – each in a golden version. Legendary items would probably be the perfect counterpart in World of Warcraft.
However, the drop chance for a legendary item from the Blingtron 6000 is still unknown. Since reports on this are currently very limited, the probability seems rather low – making it more of a nice bonus than a reliable farming source. Nevertheless, getting such a chance for virtually no effort is already quite a feat.
