World of Warcraft brings heavy nerfs for the current final boss. Raszageth will be weakened – and many of her abilities will deal less damage.
For over 2 months, many guilds in World of Warcraft have been struggling against the first raid “Vault of the Incarnations.” Especially the final boss Raszageth causes frustration and many an unpleasant raid evening. But Blizzard is providing relief and is clipping the good dragon lady’s wings a bit and also pretty much everything else about her.
What will be nerfed? Raszageth has proven to be particularly difficult and still causes problems for many groups at heroic and mythic difficulties. Some of the deadliest abilities – which tend to overlap with other abilities – will therefore be slightly weakened.
On “Heroic,” the following changes are made:
- The health points of Raszageth have been reduced by 5%.
- The rate at which the integrity of the vault decreases during the first interphase has been reduced.
- The periodic damage of Gale Wing has been reduced by 20%.
- Unstable Surge deals 20% less damage.
On “Mythic,” there are also significant reductions:
- The knockback from Gale Wing is reduced.
- Flame Shield of the Flamebound Herald now absorbs 45% of its maximum health in damage (previously 55%).
- Cracking Shell of the Frostforged Zealot now absorbs 20% less healing.
- Ascension of the Storm Seeker Acolyte only increases their speed by 150% (previously 300%).
- The periodic damage of Gale Wing has been reduced by 20%.
Why are nerfs coming now? The reason for this is that with the maintenance on February 15, the general “progress time” in the raid Vault of the Incarnations is over. The Hall of Fame is closed and from now on the raid can also be approached with cross-server groups on mythic difficulty. At this point, Blizzard almost always releases a few nerfs to allow even the guilds that have so far failed to get a kill. The little extra boost in nerfs should ensure that Raszageth will bite the digital dust a few more times in the coming weeks and days.
What do you think of the nerfs? Appropriate and helpful? Or will this boss be “nerfed to death” and become free loot?
