World of Warcraft is once again adjusting the class balance. Shamans and Paladins must be very brave.
The balance in World of Warcraft is something quite fragile and, even many weeks after the launch of the first season of The War Within, adjustments and improvements are still necessary.
A new round of class adjustments will be coming this Wednesday. This primarily affects Shamans and Paladins, but Druids, Hunters, and Mages should also expect changes.
What will be changed? A total of 10 classes will receive changes, most of which are enhancements in certain areas. Only Shamans and Paladins will have to deal with moderate weakenings, as Enhancement Shamans and Protection Paladins are currently too successful. The key changes in overview are:
- Death Knights deal more damage with the Deathbringer talents and in the Frost specialization.
- Druids heal slightly more and deal more damage in both the Feral and Guardian specializations.
- Survival Hunters deal less damage, two abilities are significantly weakened.
- Mages receive strong buffs in the Fire specialization. The legendary talents of “Frostfire” are significantly improved for both Fire and Frost Mages.
- Windwalker Monks perform better in solo and AoE situations. Some of the unpopular talents are made more attractive, increasing damage.
- Protection Paladins deal less damage, as their Lightsmith talents are weakened.
- The Blessing Words of the Holy Priest are strengthened and heal more.
- Subtlety Rogues specializing in Deathstalkers will deal more damage in the future.
- The legendary talents of the Elemental Shaman will be improved for both specializations. Enhancement Shamans deal less damage with all abilities that spend Maelstrom.
- The Colossus legendary talents will be improved, especially reducing the damage taken by the Warrior.
When will the changes go live? As usual, such extensive class changes will come with maintenance on Wednesday morning, specifically on November 27, 2024, in the early hours. In America, these adjustments will go live one day earlier due to different maintenance times, namely on Tuesday.
