The developers have answered plenty of questions about the upcoming WoW expansion. Can you fly? How many reputation factions are there? What’s new with the pre-patch?
After the developers of World of Warcraft revealed the release date of Battle for Azeroth in recent weeks, they have simultaneously given a lot of interviews, answering numerous questions. We have summarized the most important statements for you.

Flying in Battle for Azeroth
Apparently, the developers have finally come to terms with the way flying was unlocked in Warlords of Draenor and Legion. They still believe that an expansion should first be experienced on foot before bypassing entire environments and challenges with flying mounts. Therefore, flying will only be possible later in Battle for Azeroth after completing the current quest content.
World Quests with 6 new factions
World quests will once again take up a significant portion of playtime. In total, there are six new reputation factions, of which two will be neutral: The Tortollans and the “Voice of Azeroth” – this means that there will be two factions for the Horde and two more for the Alliance, making four reputation factions on each side.
Reputation will also be rewarded again at the end with a Paragon system. If players collect more reputation after reaching “Exalted”, they can receive an extra reward for every 10,000 reputation points. However, there will not be very rare mounts available this way.

Pre-Patch brings story scenarios
To experience the first new content of Battle for Azeroth, players do not have to wait until the release of the expansion. With the Pre-Patch 8.0 (or shortly after), the two scenarios will be playable: the Battle for Undercity and the Burning of Teldrassil.
Both scenarios come with their own cinematic. Thus, the new addon is already heralded in advance, just as it was the case with Legion back at the Broken Shore.
