A new quest in WoW: Battle for Azeroth is making nature strike back. With laser weapons and bombs. As one would expect for dolphins.
In the upcoming expansion of World of Warcraft, Battle for Azeroth, there are numerous new quests. In one of them, players will receive a particularly strange companion: a dolphin that resorts to high-tech weapons.
Underwater battles as a quest line: On Reddit, a user named willtron3000 posted a screenshot from the quest “Deadliest Cache: Sink and Swim,” which he discovered in the beta of Battle for Azeroth. For the duration of the quest, players control a dolphin equipped with all sorts of weapons. A laser pistol is mounted on its head, prominently displayed in the shown image. The dolphin also has more weapons on its side fins – underwater bombs that can be dropped on enemies.
Whether the “laser dolphin” is a modification of goblins or gnomes, you can find out for yourselves in August. Because Battle for Azeroth will be released on August 14.
Not a mount, just a quest companion: After the image, there was immediate speculation about whether the dolphin would also be available as a mount. That doesn’t seem to be the case, as no dolphin has been found as a mount in the database so far. Should that change, we will of course report on it. Because who wouldn’t want a laser dolphin as a permanent mount?
