Rank 11: Priest
Priests rank 11 in the leaderboard with 103 votes (6.74%).
What makes priests special? Priests have become known as “the” healers in World of Warcraft, but for a long time they were also considered a particularly strong DPS class in certain raids and against certain bosses, for example in the Eternal Palace.
As the only class in World of Warcraft, priests have two healing specializations, making them suitable for players who prefer to play this role. All priests have the ability to increase the health points of all group members.
The specializations of the priest
- Holy: “The” healing specialization par excellence. Holy priests heal with powerful healing spells targeting individual targets or the entire group and support them with powerful buffs. However, they are relatively immobile and must often rely on their group.
- Discipline: The “offensive” healing specialization relies on shields and damage. Instead of healing directly, you apply effects to your teammates that distribute a portion of your dealt damage as healing to them. Discipline is especially popular in PvP.
- Shadow: Shadow priests are the damage dealers of the class and use damage-over-time spells (“DoTs”). Their unique mechanic is “Insanity,” which allows them to deal even more damage. They are more efficient when they can spread their spells over multiple targets.
