In World of Warcraft, there are now twelve different classes. You told us which ones you like best and which ones are the least popular. Here you will find the most popular classes in the ranking.
In a MeinMMO survey, we wanted to know from you, which are your favorite classes in World of Warcraft. All twelve currently available classes from the “Retail” version of WoW were available for selection.
In a preliminary evaluation, we have already determined, that all of your favorite classes have a significant advantage over the others. We kept the survey running a bit longer and now want to present all classes ranked by their popularity.
As of the current evaluation (April 24), 1,529 people participated in the survey. We start with the least popular class and work our way up to the most popular.
Rank 12: Monk
With 71 votes (4.64%), the monk ranks last in the list.
What makes monks special? The monk is the second new class that has found its way into the game since the release of World of Warcraft. It has been playable since the Mists of Pandaria, the second-best expansion of WoW.
Monks rely on balance and mastery in their story rather than weapons and brute strength. Accordingly, they are considered one of the more difficult classes to play and are better suited for experienced players and in groups where they can fully unleash their strength. Monks can increase the physical damage received from enemies.
The specializations of the monk
- Windwalker: The damage specialization of the monk. Windwalkers rely on special combos of their skills to increase their damage.
- Brewmaster: Brewmasters are the tank monks and have the unique ability of “Staggering,” allowing them to spread damage taken over a period of time instead of taking it all at once.
- mistweaver: Mistweavers are the healers known for their mobility and group control. No other healer is as mobile and has as much CC. They can also deal comparatively high damage while healing.
