A new riddle mount has appeared: In the Beta of WoW: Battle for Azeroth a new mount for puzzle lovers is already available. The “Naj’jatar Blood Serpent” can be claimed by players who solve some tricky tasks.
Previously, two such mounts were available in Legion:
The Naz’jatar Blood Serpent can already be earned in the Beta. Wowhead’s data miners have already figured out what you need to do. The individual steps to get the mount are described below.
How to Obtain the Naz’jatar Blood Serpent
In Stormsong Valley, you will find Naga NPCs and eels that may drop “Abyssal Fragments” with some luck. You need 20 of these for the first step, which you then need to assemble.
To assemble the fragments, you must be at the “Shrine of Abyss”. You will find this hidden behind a waterfall in the northwest of the Shrine of the Storm, one of the dungeons of Battle for Azeroth.
If you use the fragments at the shrine, you will receive an “Abhorrent Essence of the Abyss”. You need to take this essence to a mine near Warfang Hold in Stormsong Valley. Use the essence there and a level 120 elite opponent will appear, who drops the serpent as loot.
The fight is quite tough, as the mob summons adds that can really hurt you. So you need friends to help you. However, the mount is only available once per kill, so not everyone can get it.
There may be more riddle mounts: After the secret of the first riddle mount was revealed, game designer Jeremy Feasel spoke up on Twitter. He wrote: “1/? Secrets Found”. Whether this means you can find more mounts or if entirely different secrets await you remains to be discovered.
