The island nation Kul Tiras is the territory of the Alliance in the new WoW expansion. We show all zones and explain what is happening there.
In World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, there will be two new continents to explore – one for the Alliance (Kul Tiras) and one for the Horde (Zandalar). We take a close look at Kul Tiras and explain what is happening in the three zones of the island and what players can look forward to. The three zones scale from level 110 to 120 – they will be the primary questing areas for the Alliance.
Tiragarde Sound – A Feast for Pirates
In the zone Tiragarde Sound, most of the action takes place regarding interpersonal relationships. Here, there is among other things the new capital of the Alliance, led by Katherin Proudmoore – the mother of Jaina.
Aside from that, the area has been overrun by pirates who would love nothing more than to loot the treasures of the Alliance and the people of Kul Tiras. Therefore, there are also several dungeons where players must fight against pirates.
Since the people of Kul Tiras are particularly known for their ability to slay monsters from the sea, there will surely be one or the other battle against a giant kraken.
Stormsong Valley – The Holy Place of the Sea Priests
The valley Stormsong Valley holds significant importance for the people of Kul Tiras, as all ships must pass through this place. Here, the ships are blessed by the so-called Sea Priests, making them particularly desirable for the Alliance.
Although the zone is fundamentally beautiful and green, the prevailing theme is of a darker nature. A curse is slowly but surely working its way through the hordes of pirates.
The Shrine of Storms is one of the central buildings – here all pirates come to cleanse themselves of the seawater. In the game, this place will be a dungeon for 5 players.
Whoever is having slight “Game of Thrones” flashbacks will be right on track.
Drustvar – Witchcraft and Death Magic
If you enjoy creepy elements like in “Witcher 3”, you might feel right at home in Drustvar – or exactly the opposite. The forest region is terrorized by various witches who use ancient druidic powers.
The fate of the witches is quite dark. The souls of former witches entice the living witches to eventually slit their own throats to become one with the realm of the dead. This makes the witches very powerful – but also insane.
Otherwise, politics also play a crucial role, as Lady Waycrest has her estate here – one of the leaders of the island of Kul Tiras. What problems she is facing has not yet been revealed.
