The next WoW expansion “Battle for Azeroth” has a vague release date. It will be released in summer 2018!
The latest patch of World of Warcraft: Legion, Patch 7.3.5, has only been active for a few weeks, yet fans have pressing questions about the future. Battle for Azeroth is on everyone’s lips and pre-orders have already begun. Those who want can pre-order Battle for Azeroth in the in-game shop and benefit from the bonuses already now.
But the fans’ most pressing question is: When will Battle for Azeroth be playable? When is the release date of the next expansion?
Battle for Azeroth Release Date in Summer 2018
The shop already gives a clear hint, as the description in the pre-order states that Battle for Azeroth is supposed to be released no later than September 21 (or earlier). This would allow Blizzard to manage the release of the expansion in summer 2018.
The alpha version of Battle for Azeroth just started a few weeks ago. So far, only a very small, selected group of players has access to the game. In the coming weeks and months, “normal mortals” will also be invited to test the new expansion thoroughly.
Pre-orders for Battle for Azeroth have already begun!
Anyone who pre-orders Battle for Azeroth in the Standard version for €45 will receive some bonuses:
- A character boost to level 110 for a character of your choice
- Unlocking the quest lines for Allied Races

- One mount each for Alliance and Horde
