New data from the upcoming addon of World of Warcraft suggests that the mission tables are returning. That sounds like a lot of gold.
With Warlords of Draenor, World of Warcraft introduced the infamous mission tables. Here, the player selected a mission and then a group of companions who would complete the task and return with loot for the character. This reminded many players of “Facebook” or “Mobile” games, where you wait for time to pass.
The player base was divided. However, since the feature was popular with some players, it returned in Legion in a smaller variant, namely in the form of the mission tables in the Class Halls. Here, the missions took longer, so players only had to check in every few hours – or not at all, because with few exceptions, the system was optional.
Battle for Azeroth has mission tables again
Many fans are now wondering if Battle for Azeroth will feature such mission tables again. The dataminers from wowhead seem to have already found an answer: a clear yes!
Mission tables have already been found in the game data, as well as new follower types for the Alliance. These include “Technicians,” “Infiltrators,” and “Combat Specialists.” This suggests that the missions will likely focus on the conflict between Horde and Alliance, aligning with the theme of the addon.
However, what rewards will be available and how extensively the mission tables will be part of the game is still unclear.
Cortyn says: Honestly, I have grown quite fond of the mission tables and I look forward to collecting some rewards after each login. During the lifespan of Legion, I accumulated several million gold and surely hundreds of thousands of reputation points – it adds up over the months and is a clever incentive to ensure daily logins.
