The development of the new content for WoW: Battle for Azeroth is nearly complete. Senior Game Designer Jeremy “Muffinus” Feasel reported via Twitter that the content is almost finished. Apparently, Hunters can tame unicorns.
Unicorns for Hunters confirmed. Hunters will be able to tame horses that look like unicorns in Battle for Azeroth. The popular Horse2 model will be available for tamable wildlife that Hunters can use as companions.
The model is already known from WoW: Legion. The horned horses appear frequently in the area of Val’sharah. The PvP Prestige mount and the riddle mount “Lucid Nightmare” also use this model. Those who are particularly lucky might find a similar mount in the emissary cache of the dreamweavers.
Just horses? Probably more is on the way
The Senior Game Designer released the information about the new horses as a secret leak. At the end of the week, he tweeted the code line “ok tameable horse2s”. Many fans immediately understood that this hint meant that unicorns would soon be able to become companions.
The tweet from Muffinus stating that Hunters can tame horses confused at least one other Twitter user. The fan Nicolas Ciampaglia responded with: “An island full of dinos in this expansion, and you’re announcing horses?”
The response from Muffinus appeared shortly after: He didn’t say there would only be horses. The hint can easily be understood as meaning that more models for Hunters to tame will be available in Battle for Azeroth.

When can the content be tested?
Players can test new BfA features in the next beta build. Those who have been invited to the Beta of Battle for Azeroth might soon be able to test how unicorns perform as companions.
According to Muffinus, the new content for Battle for Azeroth is nearly finished. Many of the new features are expected to be playable in the next build of the Beta. Whether this also includes the new tamable models for Hunters, and which other models they can tame, remains to be seen.
