Legendary items in WoW Shadowlands have a little detail that can be quite embarrassing. Pay attention to this when purchasing.
In World of Warcraft Shadowlands, many players have already begun crafting their first legendary items. After all, these are the strongest items with powerful effects that you can obtain in the new WoW expansion. However, for some players, there was a rude awakening – because the legendary item bears a name they would rather not see.
What’s going on? If you want to craft a legendary item in World of Warcraft Shadowlands, you need a raw item from a craftsman. If you don’t practice the profession yourself, you have to rely on the auction house or ask friends for help. However, the raw item also determines what name will later be displayed on the item. When the finished Legendary is worn later, it will bear the name of the original creator.

When Nemerot now goes to the rune smith to create the Legendary, the finished item will also bear the inscription “Crafted by Xxshadowkillerxx”.
Why can that be annoying? Other players can view your character and see this inscription. It is therefore always visible which player crafted the raw item for you. If that player has an inappropriate name that just skims the edge of acceptability, you might not want to see that name on your character’s body and have that as a “advertisement”.
So pay attention to who crafted the raw item when purchasing legendary items. After all, you will carry that name on your body for quite some time and indirectly advertise for that player. You wouldn’t want to carry the inscription “Crafted by FaceSausageThree” for the next few years on your digital form.
Why is that? Blizzard wanted to give craftsmen more importance with WoW Shadowlands again. This has already been achieved through the Legendary system, as only a few players will take the effort to craft the coveted “Rank 4” Legendaries. However, these players could earn a good reputation on their respective realm. It seems to be part of it that the inscription of the respective player is then on the finished item.
