The grinding of artifact power in World of Warcraft continues. With patch 7.3.5, Blizzard shows no mercy.
Artifact weapons are one of the central gameplay elements of World of Warcraft: Legion. They can be supplied with virtually unlimited artifact power, resulting in a few more decimal places of performance for your character every few days.
With patch 7.3, the artifact weapons received their last update – at least that was what everyone thought.
50 new levels of the Unity of the Legion’s Judges
In the latest version of patch 7.3.5 on the test server, new files were found indicating that the artifact weapons are being adjusted again. The maximum number of points to be invested in “Unity of the Legion’s Judges” increases from 50 to a whopping 100 points.
However, the last ranks of the Unity of the Legion’s Judges are particularly valuable. There, each point in the final talent of the artifact weapon grants a proud 1,000 points to the class’s primary attribute.
For comparison:
- At rank 51, Unity of the Legion’s Judges grants 18,751 (Strength, Intelligence, or Agility)
- At rank 100, Unity of the Legion’s Judges grants 53,000 (Strength, Intelligence, or Agility)
Whether the required amount of artifact power continues to increase exponentially is still unknown. It is possible that from rank 50 onwards, the same amount of artifact power will be needed to level up. It is also possible that Blizzard may increase artifact knowledge again, allowing players to gain more artifact power.
Ultimately, the additional levels of the artifact weapons will ensure that more and more players will be able to master Antorus on heroic or mythic difficulty by the end of Legion and the start of Battle for Azeroth. The artifact weapon thus acts as a natural nerf over time for the bosses.
What do you think about the fact that there will be more levels for artifact weapons? Good that character power continues to grow? Or just more grinding to bridge the time until the next addon?
