The Early Access of the new WoW expansion begins in a few days. We want to know from you if you will put the money on the table – or avoid it.
This coming Friday, August 23, World of Warcraft: The War Within kicks off – at least for those who have secured access to the Early Access. The rest will have to wait a few more days and will start with a slight delay at the official release date on August 27.
How do you get into the “Early Access”? The answer is simple: Money. To get into the Early Access, you must purchase the most expensive version of WoW: The War Within, namely the Epic Edition. It costs €90, which is a whopping €40 more than the Base Edition. In addition to Early Access, the Epic Edition also offers other goodies, such as pets, a mount, transmog rewards, or guaranteed beta access.
What can you do in Early Access? Many features are already available in Early Access. These include:
- The intro scenario to The War Within.
- All level areas from level 70 to 80.
- The Hero talents.
- Normal dungeons.
The major world events, heroic dungeons, and more will only begin with the official launch.
However, you can only gain a very slight advantage. Because you cannot properly prepare for the “endgame.” Many of the endgame features with the best gear will only start slightly delayed at the beginning of Season 1 on September 11.
The Early Access will have little impact on the “Race to World First,” namely the first First-Kill race in the new raid.
