In World of Warcraft, Ancient Bronze Bars drop. We will tell you what to do with the item and where you can exchange the bars.
Season 4 in World of Warcraft has started and many players are noticing that they suddenly have “Ancient Bronze Bars” in their inventory. However, the description does not make it clear where to take the bars and what to do with them. We will explain how to use the Ancient Bronze Bars and what rewards you can obtain for them.
Where can you find Ancient Bronze Bars? You can find the item “Ancient Bronze Bar” (“Antique Bronze Bullion”) in the currently “awakened” raid. This is currently the “Vault of the Incarnations” (Week 1), next week it will be Aberrus, and in the third week, Amirdrassil, Hope of Dreams. Which raid is awakened changes every week.
Each boss in the currently awakened raid has a chance to drop an “Ancient Bronze Bar” as personal loot for your character. The difficulty of the raid is not relevant for this – you can obtain the bars from LFR as well as normal, heroic, or mythic mode.
Per character and week, you can only receive one bar. The maximum increases by one each week. If you miss a week, you can catch up and find two Ancient Bronze Bars in the following week.
More Ancient Bronze Bars per week
Occasionally, you can gather more Ancient Bronze Bars per week, for example, in the week from May 8 to May 14. During that time, you can accept a quest from Kazra at the fountain in Valdrakken, for which you need to complete four mythic dungeons.
The quest offers, unlike in previous seasons, no direct loot as a reward, but instead gives you 2 Ancient Bronze Bars, which you can then exchange directly for an item of your choice.
These two bars are an additional reward for that week, so they do not count towards the weekly cap. So grab some friends and quickly complete a few dungeons to benefit from the strong bonus.
Exchange Ancient Bronze Bars with Iszinormi
Where can you exchange Ancient Bronze Bars? As indicated in the tooltip, you can exchange the bars with Isziniormi and her allies at the tavern “The Last Glass”. The tavern is located in Valdrakken in the bronze part of the city. You can find the tavern at this location on the map:
What rewards are there? You will find Iszinormi in three different forms in the aforementioned tavern – as a bronze dragon, she exists in multiple timelines simultaneously. All three variants of her sell different items, namely all weapons, jewelry, and items with special effects that could drop in the three raids of Dragonflight.
Each item costs two Ancient Bronze Bars, so you can buy one piece of equipment every two weeks.
All the items have an item level of 493, but can be upgraded 11 more times.
Alternatively, you can also talk to Mirioszin from the Infinite Swarm – a bit hidden, in the right corner. She sells all weapons and off-hand items from the three raids as transmog templates. These templates cost only one Ancient Bronze Bar, but have no stats and are purely cosmetic.
Especially in the first weeks of Season 4, it might be a wise decision to save the bronze bars and then purchase powerful jewelry when needed. If you still have some left later, you can of course spend them on transmog.
