Another record in World of Warcraft has been broken. Even a “Mythic+22” dungeon was completed – and there was still plenty of time left!
Those who are looking for a limitless challenge in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth dive into the “Mythic+” dungeons of Zandalar and Kul Tiras with four pain-free friends. While most players are already sweating at a modifier of “+10” and reach their limits at “+15”, there are some players who keep pushing that value higher and higher.
A new record has now been broken: The Freehold at the difficulty Mythic+22.
What makes Mythic+22 so difficult? Due to the increasingly powerful modifier, enemies in Mythic +22 have more than 400% additional health points and deal significantly more damage. Tanking is basically not done properly anymore, but only “kiting”, that is, pulling from point A to B, while damage dealers attack from the side.
How was the group set up? The successful group consisted of the following classes:
- Blood Death Knight (Tank)
- Windwalker Monk (Healer)
- Fire Mage (Damage)
- Subtlety Rogue (Damage)
- Devastation Demon Hunter (Damage)
The group had extremely strong AoE potential and could easily “bomb away” many enemies, even though it naturally takes a while at such a high level. You can see how the run went in this video:
Little tricks help: It is noticeable that the group already started before the actual “start” of the dungeon. Thanks to the Death Knight’s spell Death and Decay, the first group of enemies was already attacked before the timer started. Ultimately, that only saves a few seconds and probably wouldn’t have affected the success – after all, there were still almost 3 minutes left at the end.
This way, the group holds the current record.
How far have you progressed in “Mythic+”? What was the hardest dungeon you completed within the time?
With Patch 8.1 you have to relearn mythic dungeons – a new affix is to blame.
