The most annoying mage from World of Warcraft keeps quiet in patch 7.2. At least when you ask him to.
If you were to ask players of World of Warcraft: Legion what annoys them the most about the capital city Dalaran, the Pandaren chef Nomi would take the top spot. When you then ask, “What else?”, most would probably reply, “That stupid goblin who never stops talking.”
For those who still don’t know who we are talking about: The Great Akazamzarak. The green goblin magician makes his living as a magician and stands at the fountain on the “Alliance side” in Dalaran. Every few seconds, he casts a spell aloud when he presents a new trick.
- “Pick a card… any card!”
- “No, not that card! Give it back!”
- “Welcome, the Great Akazamzarak invites you to his performance!”
… and other quotes belong to his repertoire. While it is amusing the first 5 times, it eventually becomes annoying. Blizzard has noticed this as well, and in the next patch, you can politely ask the goblin to just be quiet. Since no one will contradict the great hero, his sound will be turned off. It is always possible to reverse this decision if you suddenly feel like getting some new Hearthstone card tricks.
You’ve never heard the guy? Then that’s probably because you are a mage. They recruit the green magician for their order campaign. With patch 7.2, he even becomes a permanent companion of your hero after you have accompanied him on a small quest line.
