Just a few weeks have been enough to eliminate the anima drought in World of Warcraft . Now players don’t even know what to do with the anima.
Looking back at the past months of World of Warcraft Shadowlands, there has been one recurring criticism: There is simply too little anima from world quests and other sources. For nearly half a year, this was a problem for many players that diminished their enjoyment of the game.
Now, nearly 3 weeks after the release of Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination, the opposite has happened: People don’t even know where to put their anima anymore.
What was the problem? Until recently, there was only a limited amount of anima to be obtained in World of Warcraft. Although a hotfix had already brought more anima during Patch 9.0.5, many players were not satisfied with it. World quests often provided just about 200 anima, while a fancy armor set or weapon transmogs could cost up to 30,000 anima.
Korthia brings several thousand anima: Now, with Patch 9.1 and the new area Korthia, the situation has changed. Just playing daily in Korthia and “checking” the various treasures and rare spawns ensures that players go home day after day with 3,000 to 4,000 anima – and that with a time investment of 1-2 hours, depending on luck and efficiency in rare hunting.
Players are reaching anima cap more often: In the WoW subreddit, posts are increasing that the anima cap of 35,000 should be lifted or that an alternative should be granted instead of anima when reaching the cap. Because more and more players are reaching the point where they have bought everything possible with anima and therefore can no longer spend any.
Addon can help: Another point is that many players simply do not know what can be purchased with anima. Because there are almost always a variety of vendors and some are even located in different areas, such as Revendreth. The addon “AllTheThings” can help here, as it directly lists in the currency tab what items can still be unlocked with anima. This way you can quickly work through the list and always check what is still missing.
How can you still spend anima? If you really have no other use for anima, you can also spend it at your mission table in your respective covenant sanctum. There, anima can be used to heal injured adventurers and make them operational again. The mission table provides various resources, including enhancement runes, as well as crafting resources, mounts, pets, and a whole range of achievements.
If you haven’t been able to pull yourself together to upgrade your covenant sanctum or buy different transmog sets, now is the golden time. Because it is hardly possible to find more anima.
