A T-shirt in the Blizzard shop has now revealed the end of “Legion” in World of Warcraft. Embarrassing!
When it comes to little spoilers, leaks, and mishaps, Blizzard has not shown a happy hand in recent weeks and months. First, hints of a possible Kul’Tiras expansion were discovered in the game files. With patch 7.3.2, a large scar in Silithus was also discovered, indicating a massive wounding of Azeroth.
Now Blizzard has experienced the next mishap. A new T-shirt featuring Sargeras as the motif was showcased in the official Blizzard shop. However, the description of the T-shirt has already revealed what will happen in World of Warcraft, even before the raid Antorus, the Burning Throne is available. The T-shirt description stated (translated):
“Before he could be captured by the remaining Titans, Sargeras, the unholy leader of the Burning Legion, drove his sword deep into Azeroth. Immortalize his reign with this BlizzCon shirt!”
While this is not entirely new, it confirms what the data miners have already suspected. After the T-shirt gained attention on Reddit, Blizzard quickly changed the description. The part mentioning Azeroth was completely removed.
Therefore, it is now likely confirmed that Azeroth’s wound in Silithus will have particular significance. Whether the bleeding world can still be saved will probably be revealed at BlizzCon in about four weeks. Because then the next expansion of World of Warcraft will be unveiled.
Some players are now suggesting that they not only need to avoid news sites and data miners but also the official Blizzard shop.
