Twinks in World of Warcraft can rejoice. Essences for the Heart of Azeroth will soon be much easier to obtain. We reveal what Blizzard wants to change.
The players of World of Warcraft have had a major criticism for months a major point of criticism. The essences for the Heart of Azeroth should be more accessible for twinks, as they massively hinder the playability of secondary characters. After all, essences are an important aspect of a character’s power, accounting for 20% – 30% of a character’s performance, but they require extensive grinding.
Now Blizzard has surprisingly given in and is presenting a new method for twinks to obtain essences more easily.
How does it work? On March 18, Blizzard will release a new hotfix for World of Warcraft. With this patch, you will receive a new currency called “Echoes of Ny’alotha” from the current content of Patch 8.3. You can earn this currency from activities such as:
- Severe visions
- Attacks from N’Zoth (Vale of Eternal Blossoms, Uldum)
- Raid bosses
- Mythic Keystone dungeons
- PvP
The currency is bound to the character and can be used to purchase essences for the Heart of Azeroth at MOTHER at rank 3.
How much currency there will be for the activities and what the prices for the essences will be is still unclear and will be revealed in the coming days. That will also likely determine how easily the essences can be unlocked for twinks.
What are the prerequisites? In order to purchase the essences with secondary characters, it is necessary that you have already unlocked the desired essence at rank 3 on another character. If that is the case, you can also directly unlock the corresponding essence at rank 3 with twinks who have earned “Echoes of Ny’alotha”.
This should make the 6-7 months without new content a bit more bearable.
For which essences is it particularly worthwhile? Basically, for all essences available in the game. Especially those that are hidden behind extensive farming work, such as in Mechagon, Nazjatar, or the raid Eternal Palace. These essences often require days or weeks of farming to reach level 3.
The hotfix also brings another change, namely more corrupted gear.
Players are thrilled: In the WoW subreddit and on wowhead, players are almost unanimously excited about this change. After all, this is exactly what players have been demanding and wishing for months. Here are a few excerpts from comments:
- “PRAISE BE TO OUR LORD N’ZOTH!”
- “It was about time.”
- “Better late than never, I guess. Good change!”
However, there are also a few rather cynical comments, like the one from Zen_Galactic:
