With a simple change, you can make World of Warcraft much more enjoyable. An option from Dragonflight eliminates long-standing issues.
Most of us have been playing World of Warcraft for a very long time and have become accustomed to problems and difficulties. When something is very “annoying” to click on, WoW players mumble to themselves and endure it. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Since Patch 10.0, there has been an option for the “Interact Key,” which I want to recommend to you.
Where can you find the setting? Simply press the Escape key, select “Options,” and then the “Controls” subsection. Now scroll down a bit and check the box for “Enable Interaction Key.” Then assign a corresponding key for “Interact With Target” in the menu directly below.
For most, the “F” key would be suitable here, but the choice is of course up to you.
What does the setting do? You only notice how great the setting is over the course of days and weeks. But let me give you a few examples.
Currently, the Noblegarden festival is taking place. This is the Easter event of World of Warcraft. Here you can collect eggs in various cities that you need for achievements and rewards. The catch: Everyone else is collecting the eggs too, and only the first person to click the egg gets the loot. With the Interaction Key, you are faster than anyone who has to click the egg manually.
Do you remember those quests where you have to rescue small animals like squirrels that dart across the screen in a panic? Usually, you run after them like crazy, trying to wildly click them 30 times just to complete the quest after 10 minutes of frustration. That’s no longer necessary. Because the Interaction Key also eliminates this problem.
Fishing becomes significantly easier with this.
The function is even suitable for bypassing bugs in World of Warcraft. Do you also know that sometimes an ore or a treasure chest spawns “in the ground” and cannot be clicked? With the interaction key, you can avoid this problem too. Especially in Dragonflight with the “Moving Earth,” this is quite valuable.
Whether you want to talk to NPCs, pick up a quest item, or open a door – with the Interaction Key, you save yourself the hassle of moving the mouse and ensure that even the smallest objects are hit.
It is a small but very useful setting that I can only recommend to every WoW veteran and newcomer. In any case, it is definitely better than Click-To-Move …
Our tank had a dark secret for 15 years until a bug exposed him.
