A paladin has risen as a raid boss in World of Warcraft. For minutes, players try to kill him – and fail for a long time.
In World of Warcraft, there are many absurd mechanics. Those who find the perfect ways to combine multiple mechanics can achieve some pretty crazy results. A master in this field is player Rextroy. He discovers almost every few days new methods to amaze or frustrate his fellow players. In his latest video, he transforms into a true raid boss that is hardly beatable.
What is happening? In the video, we see Rextroy bravely throwing himself into battle as a protection paladin – right in the middle of Orgrimmar. It only takes a few seconds before the enemy players notice him and start attacking.
From a few players, it quickly escalates to several, with around 15 players trying to bring the paladin down. But it simply doesn’t work. Whenever Rextroy’s hit points approach a low threshold, he fully heals himself.
How does it work? Once again, Rextroy uses various mechanics to achieve such a strong effect. He relies on a high versatility value, which reduces incoming damage. However, the core of this action is the value leech.
This heals Rextroy for a specific amount based on the damage dealt. Thanks to various items that increase his leech first by 30% and then increase the value on his gear by another 120%, he reaches so much leech that a single attack against a toad he summons heals him for nearly 80% of his hit points.
Together with some items that function like healthstones but regenerate nearly 60% hit points, he is nearly unstoppable.
The only chance for opponents is to kill the little toad in time before Rextroy can heal from it. However, since Rextroy summons the toad from a distance, it is not that easy.
The whole fight against Rextroy lasts about five minutes. Overall, Horde players had to beat several dozen million hit points out of Rextroy’s body to finally bring the paladin down.
At least most players from his realm already knew what awaited them and expressed this with a cheerful “Hello YouTube” or a little jab at the YouTuber Asmongold.
By the way, you can still execute this and many other tricks until Wednesday. Then the big patch 9.0 will be released, which removes the corruption and brings the level squish, which will rescale many values.
What do you think of this trick? A cool method to bring some action to the capitals? Or is it rather annoying?
