Many players still fail at the current Antorus raid in World of Warcraft. But a group doesn’t care – they complete the whole thing only with tanks.
Time and again, players achieve special feats in World of Warcraft that seem impossible or simply nonsensical to others. Just recently, a group managed to complete a “Mythic+30” dungeon within the time limit. Now, another bizarre achievement followed: The Antorus raid was cleared on heroic – with a group made up only of tanks.
How was that possible? Tanks in World of Warcraft now have a fairly solid self-healing and can keep themselves alive for a long time. However, without healers, this is generally not enough. The situation changes when you have seemingly endless tanks available, all taking the boss’s threat in turn. This gives the non-tanking players the chance to heal up a bit before taking over again.
Tanks can also completely ignore many mechanics that would kill other classes. As a downside, they have lower DPS.
Unity of the Legion Judges helps. Particularly helpful for the group is the buff “Unity of the Legion Judges,” which has become extremely powerful in recent days due to the overloaded artifact weapons. This leads to massive DPS increases, making even tough enrage timers now seem achievable.
Mythic mode is in progress. By the way, the pure tank group is already working on the mythic mode of Antorus. They have already achieved some success there, managing to defeat the Garothi Destroyer and the Felhounds – so far, they are still struggling with other bosses. However, time is running out. Next Wednesday, the pre-patch comes, and then the Unity of the Legion Judges will disappear.
