Players of World of Warcraft are currently experiencing a small gold rush. An old “crap item” is suddenly worth hundreds of thousands or even millions of gold.
The quality level of an item in World of Warcraft actually indicates its rarity and therefore its value – at least most of the time. However, with patch 10.0.5, this has reversed in some cases. Now white items can also be used for transmogification. Once “useless” robes from merchants are suddenly the latest trend for transmog fans.
Such items are the Hanboks and Dangui – special dresses sold by only a single NPC in the game.
One of these white dresses is now being traded for up to 2,000,000 gold.
What kind of item is this? The Formal Dangui is a special robe that now counts as a cosmetic item – it can be used as a transmog template by all armor classes. The texture is quite unusual and is not found anywhere else in World of Warcraft.
Meanwhile, Geenia is permanently besieged on most realms. Note that there are several “phases” in which Geenia sells her items. Thus, for example, the Dangui may be available in war mode while it is sold out in non-war mode.
It may be worthwhile to park multiple characters in different phases and Chromie times at the Moonlight Landing to gain more access to this NPC and thus have more chances to get the item.
