30 Warriors defy all rules in World of Warcraft. They play the game as ranged damage dealers – and even defeat current raid bosses.
In recent weeks, the number of rather “strange” achievements in World of Warcraft has drastically increased. We have already reported on groups that only raid as tanks or a shaman who kills bosses solo. Now a group of warriors has faced the bosses in Ny’alotha and killed them in a very special way – only using ranged attacks.
What happened? A group of 30 warriors completed the raid “Ny’alotha” on heroic difficulty. However, the really cool action takes place during the fights against the bosses on normal difficulty. Because there, the warriors use most of their abilities not, but only “Heroic Throw” to bring the bosses to their knees.
Accordingly, it looks pretty funny in the video when nearly 30 warriors stand at a distance and throw their swords at the boss. Only one of them stays in melee to tank the boss.
The corresponding fight starts at 6 hours and 9 minutes:
Corruption makes it possible again
Why is this special? Warriors are not actually known for their ranged abilities in World of Warcraft. “Heroic Throw” in its current variant is actually intended only for pulling and not as a real damage effect. Warriors normally rely on a variety of abilities that only deal high damage in melee.
How is this possible? Even with very good equipment, “Heroic Throw” only deals minimal damage and probably would not defeat the bosses before reaching the enrage timer.
The solution here is again the corruption effect “Twilight Devastation”. This has a chance on all attacks to summon a powerful shadow laser that carves through the battlefield and deals damage to all enemies equal to a percentage of the player’s health points. Since warriors have a lot of health points, the damage is correspondingly high.
Have you also fought such a rather “silly” fight or just skipped a boss phase like this guild did?
