How powerful are tanks in World of Warcraft? This is demonstrated by player Nnoggie, who almost made the Ny’alotha raid child’s play with 30 tanks.
What did the group achieve? The Raid Ny’alotha definitely poses a challenge. However, Nnoggie, a member of the guild Method, wanted to prove that it can be beaten even if there are only tanks in the group, meaning no damage dealers or healers are included. Thus, 30 tanks set out and managed to conquer Ny’alotha in heroic mode – and did so quite easily. The entire raid posed no problem for Nnoggie, who formed a new group for this, as they even laughed while rushing through the raid.
Tanks are powerful
How did the group achieve this? The professional guild Method is currently the second strongest raid guild in the world. In the current content, they were only slightly behind the world first kill on N’zoth mythic by Limit. However, only Nnoggie played from this group.
Nnoggie and his friends resorted to some creative gameplay mechanics. This includes boosting the corruption effect “Twilight Devastation.” This effect belongs to the corruption introduced with Patch 8.3, which has been criticized for its strength for some time.
To achieve this boost, the players stacked the Azerite essence “Strength of the Guardian,” which increases the health of all tanks in the raid by 3% and stacks itself.
Since “Twilight Devastation” scales with maximum health and all 30 tanks used the Azerite essence as well as many stamina items like the time-warped version of “King Llane’s regal seal,” the players stacked millions in health and could thus deal correspondingly high damage.
Furthermore, they also utilized items like the “Vitageladener Titanensplitter,” which is considered one of the strongest trinkets for many tanks.
Who are the players? They are the well-known WoW player Nnoggie. Among other things, he is known for the Method Dungeon Tools add-on for WoW. Nnoggie called on Discord to help him with his endeavor.
He gathered 29 other players who responded to his call and plunged into the heroic mode of the Ny’alotha raid. The group only played tank classes, including several blood death knights, a few demon hunters and warriors, as well as one paladin, one druid and one monk.
