Soon players will be able to equip a third, legendary item in WoW. You can find out more about it here.
In the Legion expansion of World of Warcraft there are some restrictions regarding equipment usage. The biggest restriction is probably the limitation of a maximum of 2 legendary items that our character can equip at the same time. In the past, there has been wild discussion and speculation about whether this limitation will be lifted at some point.
Antorus trinkets do not count towards the legendary cap
The various trinkets have now been upgraded to legendary quality, starting at an item level of “only” 940, and they do not count towards the maximum limit for legendary items!
If you wish, you can upgrade the Antorus trinkets up to item level 1000. However, it is necessary to repeatedly defeat the final boss Argus. Because on normal and higher difficulty, he drops the item Blessing of the Pantheon, which allows the item level to increase by 5 points each time. This means at least 3 months of kills from the final boss Argus for the trinket to reach its maximum effect.
This allows a character to effectively wear 3 legendary items, as the Antorus trinkets do not count towards the current maximum of 2 legendary items.
However, each player can only wear one Antorus trinket at a time – an increase to 4 legendary items using the trinkets is therefore not possible.
What do you think about this slight softening of the 2-item rule for legendaries? Cool thing, or should one be allowed to freely choose from all legendaries?
