You live in a fantasy world made up of floating islands of various sizes. To travel from one island to another, you must fly. This means you need to build either wings or airships. This way, you glide or float to neighboring islands to explore them and fight monsters. Worlds Adrift aims to keep players in a massive world where the floating islands are procedurally generated, rather than distributing them across different servers.

A Sandbox in the Sky

Crafting plays a crucial role. Since it is a sandbox, players are responsible for creating the items they need. This involves gathering raw materials and crafting the necessary items. In this way, airships or houses and even entire cities can be constructed. The developers place great emphasis on a persistent world. This means that everything remains in place until interacted with. If you drop an item somewhere, you can find it there again after a long time, as long as no one else has taken it. If an airship crashes, its wreck will rust there.

A physics system aims to ensure that the world feels as realistic as possible. Everything in the game has weight and reacts accordingly.
