World of Warcraft will dedicate an NPC and a small island to the tragically deceased actor and comedian Robin Williams in the MMO. The island has now been found in the beta of Warlords of Draenor.
The comedian and actor Robin Williams was a troll in World of Warcraft. Rumor has it that he played a troll priest on the English server Mannoroth and enjoyed filling that role in the trade channel, where he made jokes.
After his death, WoW players started a petition to Blizzard asking to honor Williams in World of Warcraft and remember him. Blizzard promised to take care of it. Now it has become clear in the beta of Warlords of Draenor how they plan to do it.
On a remote island off the coast of Talador, players will be able to find an oil lamp. Rubbing it summons a jinn with a mighty beard, “Robin,” who speaks sentences from the Disney movie Aladdin. In the original, Robin Williams lent his voice to the jinn. Also on the island: a broken egg spaceship.
